ALL ABOUT YOGA - THE FOUNDATIONS
4-day workshop
You want to start practicing yoga?
You just started doing yoga but have lots of questions or doubts?
You practice yoga regularly but want to learn and know more about it?
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced yogi, this course will make you understand and feel the meaning of yoga.
During 4 workshops, yoga will be gradually introduced to you. Discover where yoga comes from, the differences between the various yoga styles, the purpose of those blocks and straps, how to perform the poses correctly, and so much more. During each session, we dive into a specific aspect of yoga, explore some fundamental poses, and finish with a practice in which everything can be applied. This way, you can discover what yoga means to you and which studio classes will suit you best.
I’m incredibly excited to immerse you in one of my greatest passions and guide you through the sometimes overwhelming (but amazing) world of yoga!

WORKSHOP 1: ORIGIN AND BASICS
In this workshop, you will learn what yoga truly is. Where does it come from, why would you practice it, what exactly are sun salutations, and how do you perform some of the most common poses? These are a few of the questions I will answer enthusiastically. After this first introduction to yoga, you can immediately put it into practice during a fun and basic guided yoga practice.

WORKSHOP 2: POWER OF THE BREATH
Your breath, something you always carry with you. Discover in this workshop how to consciously use your breath during yoga and how it gives that extra touch and dimension to your practice. Be amazed by what your breath can do for you and what a fantastic tool it can be by immediately applying the explained techniques during a guided yoga practice.

WORKSHOP 3: DIFFERENT TYPES OF YOGA
Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin Yang, Restorative, Nidra,... Soooo many different types of yoga. Understandable that it can get confusing.
In this workshop, I will clearly explain the differences between the most common yoga styles and the pros and cons of each of them. At the end, you'll have the opportunity to experience the differences yourself in a varied yoga practice. Discover your match and find out which type of class suits you best!

WORKSHOP 4: INTRO TO MEDITATION AND USE OF PROPS
Props like blocks, bolsters and straps can bring your practice to the next level. Learn how to use these tools to make poses more accessible, safer, or even more challenging. Next to making props indispensible in your practice, I will introduce you to meditation during this workshop. You'll receive tools to help in slowing down the active “monkey mind”. The final workshop of this course ends with a complete practice, offering you a full yoga experience and immersing you in the power, beauty, and magic of yoga.

WORKSHOPS YOGA NIDRA
Dive together with me in the world of yoga nidra, or also called the yoga of “conscious sleep”. A powerful practice in which you are guided into a deep relaxation, which has scientifically shown to reduce stress levels and improve sleep. First, I will give a short explanation about what yoga nidra exactly is, where it comes from, how it is practiced and what the benefits exactly are at the level of the mind and body. Afterwards, you will be guided through a practice. A unique opportunity in which you can discover the power of this technique! All necessary props are available in the studio, but feel free to bring an extra blanket or pillow to experience your yoga nidra journey as comfortable as possible. We will end the workshop softly with a cup of tea where experiences can be shared.
You don’t need any prior yoga experience to attend as the beauty of yoga nidra is that it is accessible to everyone!

YIN YANG SESSIONS - LEUVEN
During three sessions, get each time immersed in a full yoga experience in which the more active vinyasa style is combined with yin yoga. The best of both worlds! I’m so excited to guide you three times through a 75 minute practice in which strength, stretching, relaxation and mindfulness are combined. In each session, we will focus on a different body part, working both on strength and flexibility. The perfect course for beginners as well as experienced yogis!

TEACHER TRAINING CLUBJOY YOGA
8 years ago, my journey as a teacher began by following this exact training.
ClubJoy Yoga offers a fun mix between tai-chi, yoga and pilates. A super varied practice on music, which is fun, relaxing and strong at the same time. I am super excited to, after having taught this class for years, now lead the teacher training in Belgium for ClubJoy Yoga!
It is a 2-day training, in which I will enthusiastically introduce you to yoga and teaching skills, specifically designed for this type of class. Can’t wait to see you!!

YIN & NIDRA SPECIAL CLASSES
This time of the year asks for cocooning and slowing down and for that, I love to guide you through 2 yin & nidra sessions!
During these special classes, you will first practice some yin poses in which stretching and releasing tension are central to prepare the body to lay still and go into a deeper state of relaxation. You will afterwards be guided through a yoga nidra session in which a state of “conscious sleep” is reached. 75 minutes to pause completely, find rest and improve your sleep. I'm looking forward to slow down together with you.

NIDRA & SOUND WITH ANNA AND KATRIEN!
Do you feel you can use a deep breath of relief, but are running too fast?
Do you have a million thoughts per hour, each and every one of them seeming urgent and important? Do you crave a moment to slow down, relax and disconnect? But struggle to figure out how?
We might have discovered an amazing tool for you!
The combination of Katrien's yoga nidra expertise and Anna's experience using crystal and Tibetan bowls to bring you into a state of deep relaxation. First, we will shortly explain the concept of sound therapy and yoga nidra. Then we go through a gentle yoga flow to prepare the body to lie down for one hour in which you will be immersed into sound and a voice guiding you through a yoga nidra journey. Afterwards, we end softly and give you time to gently wake up and there will be the possibility to share experiences over a cup of tea.
No prior yoga experience is needed to attend this workshop!
